Material Flow Congress Celebrates Premiere in Dortmund
A true crowd-puller at TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS 2026 was the German Material Flow Congress (MFK), which had been based in the greater Munich area for more than three decades and took place in Dortmund for the first time as part of the event. Under the motto “Next Stop: Beyond Automation,” the congress featured more than 40 speakers, offering a wide range of practical insights, impulses, and discussions on current developments in intralogistics. The professional organiser is the VDI Society for Production and Logistics.
Particular interest was shown in best-practice examples from industry - among them BMW, Claas, Roche, Thomann, Würth, and Rhenus Logistics - as well as in future trends explored from multiple perspectives by researchers from across Germany.
Thematic sessions covered a broad spectrum, ranging from planning and airport automation to the use of artificial intelligence in logistics and humanoid robotics. Solution providers, users, and researchers came together for intensive discussions, making the Material Flow Congress one of the key highlights of the event year.
