TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS 2024: New special test area and conference on Mobile Robotics

(Ismaning / Dortmund, October 24, 2023) The TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS will be expanded in 2024 to include a Mobile Robotics Conference and an associated special test area. Around 2,000 square metres of test area will be dedicated solely to the topic of mobile robotics in Hall 4 of Messe Dortmund on April 10 and 11 2024.

The exhibitors will be grouped around a highlight of the TEST CAMP – the AGV Mesh-Up of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association, which celebrated its world premiere in Dortmund 2020. Including the finalists of the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) AWARD, B2B visitors will have around 10,000 square metres of exhibition and test space to try out.

For the second day of the event, the Main Stage is reserved exclusively for the topic of mobile robotics. In addition to a keynote speech, panel discussions and a round table on the VDA 5050 communication interface, there will also be numerous specialist presentations by scientists, manufacturers and users. Modern lounge areas will provide opportunities for an intensive exchange of experience between users and suppliers. A get-together with food, drinks and a DJ for networking will be held in the evening on the previous day.

"In previous years, both the IFOY AWARD and the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS already reflected the trend towards more and more mobile robots in production and intralogistics. And despite inflation, the energy crisis and war, the German robotics and automation industry is forecasting growth of nine percent to 15.7 billion euros in sales for 2023. The expansion of the mobile robotics topic area for the future follows this development – especially since the transformation of many industries has just begun and innovative, flexible automation solutions are the key to the future," emphasises Thilo Jörgl from the management of TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS.

Over two days in March 2023, more than 1,200 B2B visitors took advantage of the opportunity to try out around 100 innovations at TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS and engage in intensive technical and networking discussions. The guests, mainly in leading positions in trade, industry and logistics, travelled to the Ruhr metropolis from all over Germany and neighbouring countries. For 2024, visitors will once again have a wide range of innovations and new products from logistics and intralogistics at their disposal in the Test Arena: from forklift trucks and automated warehouse technology equipment to software and state-of-the-art mobile robotics solutions.

Visitors can again get food for thought from thematic highlight tours and the conference programme. The sessions feature experts from Europe, the USA and China. Users and manufacturers of new intralogistics solutions as well as renowned scientists already engaged in heated discussions in this year's run and made the experience event an industry highlight of the event year.
