TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS: Event to take place in Westfalenhalle in 2026

(Ismaning/Dortmund, May 6, 2025) The TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS and the IFOY TEST DAYS will take place once only in the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund in 2026. To mark its 100th anniversary, IFOY AWARD partner Messe Dortmund is making the legendary sports and concert arena available for the sixth edition of the event.

On April 15 and 16, 2026, decision-makers, innovators and scientists will travel to the Ruhr metropolis to test the latest developments in intralogistics and robotics. At the same time, the companies nominated for the IFOY (International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year) AWARD will also be using the hall to put their innovations through the three-stage IFOY audit and compete in the final.

"History has been written in the Westfalenhallen for 100 years - now we are writing a new chapter for logistics: with modern intralogistics, robotics innovations and future solutions. Where music, comedy and sports legends play, in 2026 the top decision-makers of the industry will test what will set the pace tomorrow. And with a ceiling height of 24 meters, even the longest forklift mast can really unfold here," says Anita Würmser, Chairwoman of the IFOY AWARD jury.

"We are delighted to be able to offer the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS and the IFOY AWARD a unique location to mark our anniversary. Together with the logistics and industrial real estate trade fair BUILDINX, the event is one of the outstanding technology events in the logistics location Dortmund," emphasizes Sabine Loos, Managing Director of the Westfalenhallen Group.

High-tech specials from Europe, the USA and China

The organizers are planning around 100 innovations for the event. B2B visitors will have access to a wide range of solutions for in-house logistics and the transport sector: from forklift trucks and automated warehouse technology devices to drones, mobile robots, logistics software and high-tech specials from Europe, the USA and China. New to the program are the live demos of equipment in the central test arena. The popular themed highlight tours, the Logistics & Robotics Conference and the special test area “Warehouse meets Transportation” are also planned again. A highlight of the event in the historic hall will be the get-together on the first day of the event. As part of the “Open Arena”, the organizers are offering interested trade visitors a limited number of free test tickets on the afternoon of the last day of the event.

About Westfalenhallen

The origins of today's Westfalenhallen group of companies date back to 1925, when Westfalenhalle AG was entered in the commercial register on March 3, 1925. Since then, the Westfalenhallen have made a unique contribution to German and European trade fair, congress and event history. The first Westfalenhalle was built in Dortmund between April and November 1925 for 15,000 visitors and was at times the largest hall in Europe. It was officially opened on November 28, 1925. On May 23, 1944, the building was destroyed in a bombing raid. Immediately after the war, the Dortmund City Council decided to rebuild the Westfalenhalle in 1945. On February 2, 1952, Federal President Theodor Heuss opened the new 118-metre-long, 98-metre-wide and 29-metre-high hall. More than 30 World Championships and over 50 European Championships have been held in this monumental building. Between 1926 and 2008, a total of 67 six-day races were held at the venue. The concert statistics include well over 1,000 artist names - including Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Iron Maiden, Prince and Helene Fischer.

TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS

TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS is a test event with an accompanying congress for innovations in logistics and intralogistics. Test driving forklifts, working with exoskeletons, operating all types of warehouse technology yourself, interacting with driverless transport vehicles and logistics robots, trying out software - TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS is all about hands-on testing of selected innovations and new developments in logistics and intralogistics. Decision-makers from industry, trade and services with a specific interest in innovation and investment will have the opportunity to test the exhibits themselves and find out about the key trends.

TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS also provides the exclusive framework for the IFOY TEST DAYS, where the finalists of the IFOY AWARD undergo the audit and test series. TEST CAMP is a registered trademark of impact media projects GmbH. It is based in Ismaning near Munich.
